Apple’s 12 Days of Gifts

I came across an article in one of my news feeds today talking about Apple’s 12 days of gifts.  As I understand it, this has become something of a tradition for Apple.  I was not aware of this in the past and don’t want any of my iOS “followers” to miss out on this either.

As per the app’s description which can be found in the iTunes store:

“From December 26th thru January 6th you can download a gift each day – songs, apps, books, movies and more”.  Each day’s gift will only be available for 24 hours.  They also not that not all content will be available in all countries.  I will investigate using the information provided in my blog#1 about setting up and using a VPN know how to deal with those pesky geographic restrictions and let you know what I uncover.

Once you install the app it will ask you to choose a country that matches your iTunes id and then if it can push you notifications.  I allowed the notification push so that I don’t miss out on the free offers as they occur.  I will post each day’s offer beginning December 26th so everyone is will be in the know.

Also available is the “Holiday Cheer” playlist.

This free playlist consists of eight holiday songs:

“Ave Maria” by II Vollo
“Children Go Where I Send Thee” by Nick Lowe
“Duck the Halls” by The Robertsons
“Joy to the World” by Celtic Woman
“Silent Night” by Kelly Clarkson
“The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” by Kool and the Gang
“The First Noel” by Mary J. Blige
“What Child Is This” by Marvin Sapp

This playlist is available via the “Apple Store” app.  Not to be confused with the Apple app store.  The Apple Store app is a free download from the Apple app store. Once you’ve downloaded the Apple Store app, scroll down and tap Holiday Cheer.

You will be redirected to the iTunes store’s redeem page with a redeem code.  Redeem the playlist and happy listening.

I’ll keep my ear to the ground and my eyes peeled for any other holiday offers.
